A trial date has been set in the case of the former Anderson County social worker charged with nine felonies for allegedly tampering with public records.
Margaret “Geri” Murphy is scheduled to stand trial at 9 a.m. July 19-20 in Anderson Circuit Court, her attorney, Bill Patrick, confirmed following a hearing Tuesday morning.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for June 17, also at 9 a.m.
In a statement, Patrick said he is working to arrange a plea deal in Murphy’s case.
