FRANKFORT – Anderson County wrestlers Austin Dillow and Ben Joseph saw their bids for state tournament medals come up one match short Saturday. Both were eliminated from the KHSAA state wrestling tournament in the final match before the medal round. The tournament is going on at Frankfort Convention Center.

Dillow dropped a decision to Woodford County's Robert Bracco at 103 pounds. Bracco scored on an early take down and controlled the rest of the match.

Union County's Matt Young escaped Joseph's upset bid at 119 pounds. The final score showed Young with an 18-9 win but in a wild flurry just before the final horn, Joseph rallied, exposing Young to a pin, but the official's judgment was that Joseph had not put Young's shoulders on the mat before time expired.
