Vest earns academic honor

Alissa Renee Vest of Lawrenceburg was included in this year’s United States Achievement Academy yearbook.
Vest, 14, is an eighth-grader at Anderson County Middle School. She plays softball and was a member of the Kentucky Rockers team that played in the World Series last year.
Her science teacher, Jamie Young, nominated her for the recognition.
She is a daughter of Mark and Melissa Vest and sister of Mark Anthony Vest Jr.
Her grandparents are Nancy Dennis, Zeke Dennis and Thelma Vest, all of Lawrenceburg, and the late Billy Vest.
