A jury trial scheduled to start Monday in Shelby County Circuit Court involving a Waddy man who says his penis was amputated without consent has been postponed.
A spokesperson for Circuit Judge Charles Hickman said that the trial was postponed because of concern that recent media attention could influence the jury.
Phillip Seaton is suing a surgeon, John Patterson, because he says Patterson amputated his penis during what he thought was a circumcision.
