Voter turnout could be huge

Clerk offers tips on avoiding expected long lines Tuesday

By Ben Carlson

Those planning to vote Tuesday would be well served to plan ahead and be prepared to wait in line.
County Clerk Jason Denny, who oversees elections in Anderson County, said he expects a turnout of at least 65 percent of registered voters, and perhaps even more.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see 70 percent if the weather is decent that day,” Denny said, referring to the Nov. 6 General Election. “It will likely be huge.”
