Anderson High majorettes received a rating of excellent in competition. Martha Thomson, band instructor, said the local group competed with four other ensembles.
The Anderson majorettes were Judy Hostetter, Mary Jane Duncan, Gay Danford, Carol Yates and Linda Chilton.
