Curtis Baxter was elected commander of the Anderson Post No. 34 of the American Legion.
Other officers to serve were: Billy Spencer, first vice commander; Paul Cottrell, second vice commander; Billy Goodlett, third vice commander; Herman Morris, adjutant; Ezra Sparrow, chaplain; Water Grace, historian; James Watts, master of arms; George Gilbert, service officer; Grover Beckett, child welfare; W.S.T. Johnson, publicity officer.
