James D. Phillips retired from Kentucky Utilities Company where he had been an employee since Aug. 10, 1922.
Prior to that he was an employee of the Shelbyville Water and Gas Plants.
“Pop” as many associates knew him was presented a shotgun and fishing rod and reel by personnel of the Tyrone plant.
He received the Safety Achievement Award for 41 years without a chargeable employee lost time, motor vehicle or public accident.
