Tom Cotton was named president of the Alton Ruritan Club. Other officers were: Cecil Cinnamon, vice president; Hodges Crutcher Jr., secretary; Allen Herndon, treasurer; and Urban Wilson, director.
Wilson was to serve with two hold-over directors — William Elliott, and Winfrey Best.
They also announced that another Jamboree would be held on the George Cotton farm on Saturday night featuring country music, food and fun.
