Eighty-three pints of blood were received at the local center with 10 rejections recoded because of lack of iron or because prospective donors had received shots for colds during the past six weeks and the blood drive.
William Nevins, who gave his 40th pint and who received a 5-gallon pin from Chairman Truman Birdwhistell, was the largest donor in the county.
