Jennifer Lyn Ward, daughter of Mike and Ann Ward of Lawrenceburg, and Eric Bolander, son of Kay Bolander and the late Raymond Bolander of Garrison, Ky., were united in marriage Nov. 17, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg.
Captain Justin Watts, cousin of the bride, and Brother Jerrel Coffey officiated the wedding.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white, floor-length taffeta gown with a beaded lace bodice. The gown had an inverted “V” empire waist, lace up back and a sweep train. The bride wore a finger-length veil with crystal accents and beading along the edge. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of hot and light pink Rosetta vendella roses accented with green hypercium berries and rhinestones.
Matrons of honor were Amy Coffey Reidford, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Renee Shellhammer Eubank, Tampa, Fla. Bridesmaids were Traci Cort Shearer and Nicole Carter Silmperi, both of Lexington. The attendants wore black dresses varying in length and style.
The flower girl was Ruby Wachter of Lexington. She wore a floor-length white taffeta dress with a hot pink sash.
The best man was Kevin Thoroughman of Dayton, Ohio. Groomsmen were James Cox, Steven Stumph and Ben Caldwell, all of Nicholasville, Ky. The ring bearer was Raylan Bolander, nephew of the groom, of Garrison, Ky.
Music was provided by Sister Sound, Kelly Reed, John Roark and pianist Oksana Petrey, all of Lexington. A reception followed at Eagle Lake Convention Center ballroom in Lawrenceburg.
The bride is the granddaughter of Martha Thornton and the late Barker Thornton of Louisville, and Margaret Ward and the late Worley Ward of Harrodsburg.
The groom is the grandson of Helen Vanhoose of Garrison, Ky.
The bride and groom are employed with the Fayette County School System in Lexingon.
After a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Lexington.
