Anderson County schools will lose over $300,000 in preschool funding for the 2008-09 school year based on the state budget passed by the General Assembly, said Superintendent Kim Shaw.
After factoring in the $222 increase in federal funding, the preschool program will still lose $300,113, Shaw said.
Shaw said this decrease in funding probably made the preschool program the hardest hit by the budget.
