Where he finished in the Anderson County Burgoo Festival race really didn't matter to Billy Squires.
It was all about how he finished.
Squires, who is in his second year as an assistant boys basketball coach at Anderson County High School, made sure it was a finish he and everyone that ran on that September morning would remember.
After letting the race organizers at the Lawrenceburg Lions Club know about his plans several days in advance, Squires addressed the 125 people that ran the 5K race, telling them he was giving a special award for friendship.
