Spring forward to last fall. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Anderson County football traveled to Mitchell, Ind. While Mitchell was certainly not Pikeville, that day, Anderson showed some resilience that said the Bearcats might just have what it takes to record the second undefeated season in school history.

With gas and diesel fuel prices hovering at or above $4 a gallon, such future trips might be very rare or even a thing of the past.
