Fourth-grader Ashleigh Williams brought home a first place trophy in the junior division of the Kentucky District Pentecostal Church of God talent competition late last month in Lexington.
The 10-year-old sang “What Faith Can Do” as her selection for the female vocal solo. Her strong faith kept her from being nervous despite a large crowd, family members said.
Excitement rose for the Emma B. Ward fourth grader as her name was called that she had won, they said.
