    Westside Community Church events include Lift Ladies meeting

    Regular Sunday services are held at 11 a.m. with Sunday School at 10 a.m. There are also evening worship services at 6 p.m.

    Bible study is held Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

    There will be no evening service Sun., May 11, due to the Mother’s Day holiday.

     Other upcoming events are Lift Ladies meeting Sun., May 18, at 4:30 p.m. and Singer Dave Raby Sun., May 18, at 6 p.m.

    The Glensboro Christian Church, located at 1099 Plum Lane Lawrenceburg, KY 40342, will host their annual yard sale Thurs., May 1- Sat., May 3 at 8 a.m. There will be a large variety of items for sale, and this event will go on rain or shine.

Every word of it is “God-breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16), making it inerrant, infallible and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Yet, while all scripture is authoritative, not every portion of scripture is equally applicable to every situation.

    Van Buren Baptist Church hosts spring revival
    Van Buren Baptist Church will hold its Spring Revival Services from Friday to Sunday, April 25 -27. The services will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and 11 a.m. on Sunday morning.

    The guest evangelist speaker will be the Rev. Mike Hamrick form Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. Rev. Winfred Hagerman will be the worship/music leader. There will be special music each revival service by the Hagermans and several local talents.

    Women’s spiritual seminar planned

    The Lawrenceburg United Pentecostal Church, located at 113 Dogwood Dr., Lawrenceburg KY 40342, invites women of Lawrenceburg for a daylong spiritual seminar Sat., May 24, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The event will feature international speaker Vicki Richardson and fun and relaxing breakout sessions. One of the sessions is a pottery class taught by Susan Burge of Elements Pottery. The cost for the event is $35 by Wed., April 30, or $50 at the door.

  • New Liberty Easter events

    The New Liberty Christian Church youth will present “It All Happened In the City.” Sunday.

    On April 20, the choir will present “In Christ Alone.”

    The worship service starts at 10:50. “We would like everyone to come and worship with us at New Liberty,” wrote minister Jerry Perry in a news release.

    Salvisa Christian Church will sponsor Free Clothes Day for Anderson and Mercer County residents only, Mon., April 7, from 1:30-4 p.m. Bring proof of residency, such as a photo ID.

  • Grace will outreach darkness of a ‘Genesis 3’ world

    Let me blunt: I do not enjoy training meetings. As foster parents, my wife and I are required to have a certain number of hours of training every year in order to keep our license and our house open to minister to children in crisis situations.

    It’s not fun, the training that is, but it is worth it.
