  • No need to worry about politics when God is in control

The results of the presidential election startled me.
I personally feel a lot of hurt and concern for the moral decline of our country. For a good part of Wednesday I really just felt hurt.
However, there is no reason for a Christian to “worry” about things of this nature. God is sovereign! God is in full control! Throughout history there have been cultures of rebellion that lacked morality.

Deuteronomy 28:12-13:  “The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.”

  • In times of spiritual questioning, rely on an unchangeable God

Do you ever question your own salvation?  I know I do.  My own personal sin and rebellion against God often haunts me.  I think doubting one’s own salvation borders on sin itself if it applies to a Christian. I think every Christian experiences this in the Christian growth process.
In the book “Returning to Holiness” by Gregory Frizzell, he states, “You can make no spiritual progress until you’re absolutely certain of your relationship to Christ
