  • If you love others, you’ll warn of God’s judgment

I have been criticized for writing to scare and frighten or “fire and brimstone” type articles.
I will not back down from sharing the true unfiltered message regarding the reality of hell and God’s wrath.
God hates sin so much that he had to look away from his own son dying on the cross who became sin as a propitiation for us (Matthew 26, Mark 15.)
Our society or culture promotes self-worth. The Bible promotes selflessness. The Bible over and over describes hell and judgment.

  • The churches are full of sinners, so why not join us?

Do you attend church regularly? No I do not mean Christmas or Easter, I mean are you a member of a church?
I have touched on this issue before, but as more than half of Anderson County does not attend church at all, this is directed at those professing Christians who do not.
Now, there are plenty of “spiritual people” who often say to me “I don’t have to attend church to be a Christian. I can worship God from the comfort of my home.”

  • Disobeying Bible is exactly what the devil wants

Recently someone told me I must make a lot of people angry through my column.
My intention is never to make anyone angry, or in any way do anything but share the word of God.
Does God’s word make people uncomfortable or even angry? Sure it does. I often write about my personal struggle with sin and my salvation, and feel shameful at some of my own transgressions when I read such blazingly clear and direct charges God asks of his children.

  • No need to worry about politics when God is in control

The results of the presidential election startled me.
I personally feel a lot of hurt and concern for the moral decline of our country. For a good part of Wednesday I really just felt hurt.
However, there is no reason for a Christian to “worry” about things of this nature. God is sovereign! God is in full control! Throughout history there have been cultures of rebellion that lacked morality.
