On the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Kentucky Senate overwhelmingly passed Senate Bill 3, also known as the “Informed Consent Bill,” by a vote of 33-5.
The bill, lauded by supporters of life and loathed by champions of abortion, requires that any woman considering an abortion have a face-to-face consultation with a doctor, nursery or social worker at least 24 hours prior to the procedure.
