    Capital City Christian Church will sponsor a concert featuring the Soul’D Out quartet on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
    Doors open for seating at 6:15 p.m. Attendees can give a $10 donation at the door.

  • Flooded church to hold Homecoming Sunday

    Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will hold its 169th Homecoming on Oct. 6, the church announced.
    The church was devastated by flooding in August when Puncheon Creek swelled an estimated 10 feet over its banks.
    Since then church members, volunteers and supporters have worked to get the church back into shape and that effort is nearly complete, church members said in announcing Sunday’s Homecoming event.

    Mount Moriah Baptist hosts sale
    Mount Moriah Baptist Church will host its last community yard sale of the season Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kentucky 53, Mount Eden.
    The yard sale will be held inside and out.
    There will be free set-ups and a concession stand for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

    Sand Spring hosts special music
    The LeFevre Quartet and The Nelons will be in concert at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg, on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. Love offering will be given. Both musical guests have been on stage at the National Quartet Convention.
    The male Journeymen Quartet from Huntington, W.Va., will be in concert at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Road, Lawrenceburg, on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. Love offering will be given.

    to host clothing giveaway
    Lawrenceburg Church of Christ will host a clothing giveaway Sept. 14 and 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. “The clothes are free for anyone who needs them,” event organizers said. “The church has a clothing closet where they bring clothes that no longer fit, but are in good condition. Throughout the year they provide help for people to have clothes after a fire or during financial difficulties.
