Digging into a steaming cup of burgoo and listening to some gospel music is how folks spent their Monday evening at Claylick United Methodist Church.
The event goes back as far as most folks can remember.
“There are those who remember this all the way to World War II, said Pastor Shannon Blosser. “It’s been going on at least a good 70 years.”
The church, as usual, enlisted the help of Davey Warford, whose family has prepared the tasty stew for several generations.
