  • Wedding: Von Bergen-Wells

    Alison Von Bergen and Caleb Ryan Wells, both of Houston, Texas, were married May 18, 2013, at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.
    Father Leon Strieder officiated the ceremony and the bride was given in marriage by her father, Clarence Von Bergen.
    Parents of the bride are Clarence and Leslie Von Bergen of Sherman, Texas. Parents of the groom are Stephen and Sherry Wells of Lawrenceburg. The groom’s grandparents are Sue Grafton and James R. and Rita Nowlin.
    The maid of honor was Beth Von Bergen, sister of the bride, of Houston, Texas.

  • Wedding: Ellis-Fannin

    Candice Angelica Ellis and Michael Lee Fannin, both of Lawrenceburg, were married June 8, 2013, at Ninevah Christian Church in Lawrenceburg.
    Terry Cooper officiated the wedding, and the bride was given in marriage by her father.
    The bride’s parents are David and Melody Farley of Lawrenceburg. The groom’s parents are Dwight and Debbie Fannin of Lawrenceburg and Leanne Snowden of Versailles.
    Grandparents of the bride are Donald D. Geach and the late Mary Ann Geach. Grandparents of the groom are the late Tommy and Irene Fannin.

  • Engagement: Vance-Wells

    David and Delores Vance of Mallie announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Katelyn Vance, to Ryan Michael Wells, son of John and Marguerite Wells of Lawrenceburg.
    The couple will marry at First Baptist Church in Hindman on July 27 at 2:30 p.m.
    The bride is a 2013 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and is currently employed at the James Still Learning Center in Hindman.
    The groom is a 2012 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and is currently employed with the Lexington metro police department.

  • Curry-Smith Engagement

    Mr. and Mrs. Brad Smith of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter Hannah Paige Smith to Dylan Curry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Curry of Frankfort.
    The couple will be married at First Christian Church in Lawrenceburg on Saturday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m., with a reception to follow at Eagle Lake Convention and Expo Center.
    Hannah is a junior at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Her major is criminal justice with her focus being on juveniles.
    Dylan’s major is also criminal justice at Ball State University, with a minor in aquatics.

    Musical group BCB & Company entertained members of the Cynthiana High School Class Reunion(1938-1968) and former University of Kentucky basketball coach, Joe B. Hall with the hits of Motown and the golden oldies June 22 at the Prizing House in Cynthiana.
    Performers in BCB & Company represent Anderson, Boyle, Mercer, and Franklin counties.
