  • Engagement: Hardin-Lynch and Hancock

    Tony Lynch and Lori Hardin-Lynch of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Christine Hardin-Lynch of Lawrenceburg to Robert Dylan Hancock, son of Dewayne Hancock of Georgetown and Cora Mae Hancock of Frankfort.
    The bride is a 2011 Anderson County High School graduate and currently attends Western Kentucky University. She is currently employed by Bowling Green City Schools and Sun Tan City.

  • Birth: Burke

    Brittany and Daniel Burke of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Bella Reece Burke, born Feb. 27, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
    She weighed 8 pounds, 7 3/4 ounces, and was 18 1/2 inches long.
    Big brother Carson, 3, welcomed Bella home.
    Maternal grandparents are Jean and Rick Abell of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are Patricia Abell of Lebanon, and the late Richard Abell.
    Paternal grandparents are Wayne and Christy Burke of Lawrenceburg. Paternal great-grandparents are Danny and Alma Darnell of Bloomfield.

     Steven and Amber Cox of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Kayleigh Grace Cox, born March 21, 2013, at St. Joseph East in Lexington.
    She weighed 5 pounds, 10.02 ounces, and was 18 inches long.
    Big brothers Dylan, 9, and Jordan, 4, welcomed Kayleigh home.
    Maternal grandparents are Gary and Mary McMahon of McLeansboro, Ill. Paternal grandparents are  the late Hollis Ray Cox and Mary Ann Ward of Lawrenceburg.
     

  • Wedding: Hainsworth-Cardwell

    Amanda Kelly Hainsworth Cardwell and Wallace “Wally” B. Cardwell II of Lawrenceburg were married Feb. 1, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
    Mike Smith officiated the ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of the late William “Bill” and the late Charlotte H. Hainsworth of Lexington.
    Grandparents of the bride are Helen Hardgrove and Charles Hardgrove, William L. Hainsworth Sr., and Hazel Carpenter Hainsworth, all of Danville.
    The groom is the son of Wallace and Charlotte Cardwell of Lawrenceburg.

  • Business and Professional Women’s Club to meet

    The Lawrenceburg Business and Professional Women’s Club will host the north central regional meeting on April 6 at First Christian Church on Main Street in Lawrenceburg.
    Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. A continental breakfast and box lunch will cost $15. The meeting will feature a guest speaker and a “speak-off” competition, according to a press release.
    “Please join us to network and fellowship with other professional women,” event organizers said in a press release.

  • Lawrenceburg native honored by KSU

    Naomi Pleasant Barkley, a native of Lawrenceburg, was recently honored by Kentucky State University’s Cincinnati chapter and the national alumni as a prestigious and dedicated alumni member for “her unwavering commitment to and support of our beloved alma mater,” according to a press release.
    Barkley received honors during the March 1 performance of the KSU Concert Choir at Tryed Stone New Beginning Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Heather Adams and Randy Adams of Lawrenceburg were married June 30, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Sand Spring Baptist Church.
    Dr. Mike Hamrick officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her mother and father.
    The bride is the daughter of Bobby and Betty Montgomery of Lawrenceburg. Grandparents of the bride are Deverl and the late Clyde Burns and Robert Montgomery and the late Virginia Perkins.
    The groom is the son of Ronald and Diane Adams of Loretto. Grandparents of the groom are Joyce and the late Frank Gibson and Shirley and the late Paul Adams.

    Jason and Jamie Alexander of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their son, Wyatt Tomer Alexander, born Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Joseph East.
    He weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Greg and Denise Cinnamon of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are Gene and Mary Ruth Cinnamon and Wilma  
    Flygstad.
    Paternal grandparents are Bob and Cammie Alexander of Lawrenceburg. Paternal great-grandparent is Hazel Smith.
