  • Wedding: Satterly-Griffieth

    Karla Michelle Satterly, daughter of Kevin Mark and Patsy Satterly, and Timothy Joe Griffieth, son of Chester and Vida Griffieth, were married April 20, 2013.
    The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
    Krista Johnson, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Annalese Taylor, daughter of the bride, and Whitney Griffieth, daughter of the groom, were bridesmaids.
    Stanley Creech, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Mary Cosby and Timmy Stratton, friends of the groom, also stood in honor on his behalf.

  • Engagement: Gibbs-Bottoms

    Pamela Gibbs and Jim Gibbs of Anderson County announce the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Dawn Gibbs of Anderson County, to Eric Clay Bottoms of Mercer County, son of the late Peggy Bottoms and the late Bill Bottoms of Mercer County.
    The bride is a 2008 Anderson County High School graduate and a 2012 University of Louisville graduate. She is currently attending the University of Kentucky’s doctor of physical therapy program.
    The groom is a 2006 Harrodsburg High School graduate and a 2009 Bluegrass Community and Technical College graduate.

  • Engagement: Stucker-Thacker

    John and Shelly Stucker announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Stucker, to John Thacker, son of Billy and Joanie Thacker, all of Lawrenceburg.
    Grandparents of the bride are Marion and Earlene Stucker and Robert and Pat Chrisman.
    Grandparents of the groom are the late William Thacker and Ms. Ruth Thacker, John Will and Ann Cheak.
    The bride graduated from Midway College with an associate’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

  • Warford to celebrate 90th birthday Saturday

    A reception will be held in honor of Ms. Billie Warford in celebration of her 90th birthday on Saturday, April 20 from 2-4 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church.
    All friends and relatives are invited. Warford requests no gifts.
    Freedom Baptist Church is located at the corner of Powell Taylor Road and Highway 44 in Lawrenceburg.

    Tony Lynch and Lori Hardin-Lynch of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Christine Hardin-Lynch of Lawrenceburg to Robert Dylan Hancock, son of Dewayne Hancock of Georgetown and Cora Mae Hancock of Frankfort.
    The bride is a 2011 Anderson County High School graduate and currently attends Western Kentucky University. She is currently employed by Bowling Green City Schools and Sun Tan City.

    Brittany and Daniel Burke of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Bella Reece Burke, born Feb. 27, 2013, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
    She weighed 8 pounds, 7 3/4 ounces, and was 18 1/2 inches long.
    Big brother Carson, 3, welcomed Bella home.
    Maternal grandparents are Jean and Rick Abell of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are Patricia Abell of Lebanon, and the late Richard Abell.
    Paternal grandparents are Wayne and Christy Burke of Lawrenceburg. Paternal great-grandparents are Danny and Alma Darnell of Bloomfield.

  • Birth: Cox

     Steven and Amber Cox of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Kayleigh Grace Cox, born March 21, 2013, at St. Joseph East in Lexington.
    She weighed 5 pounds, 10.02 ounces, and was 18 inches long.
    Big brothers Dylan, 9, and Jordan, 4, welcomed Kayleigh home.
    Maternal grandparents are Gary and Mary McMahon of McLeansboro, Ill. Paternal grandparents are  the late Hollis Ray Cox and Mary Ann Ward of Lawrenceburg.
     

  • Wedding: Hainsworth-Cardwell

    Amanda Kelly Hainsworth Cardwell and Wallace “Wally” B. Cardwell II of Lawrenceburg were married Feb. 1, 2013, at 3 p.m. in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
    Mike Smith officiated the ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of the late William “Bill” and the late Charlotte H. Hainsworth of Lexington.
    Grandparents of the bride are Helen Hardgrove and Charles Hardgrove, William L. Hainsworth Sr., and Hazel Carpenter Hainsworth, all of Danville.
    The groom is the son of Wallace and Charlotte Cardwell of Lawrenceburg.
