  • Engagement: Goins-Casey

    Derrick Thomas Casey and Sarah Elizabeth Goins are proud to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
    Goins is the daughter of Stephanye Goins of Bayfield, Wis.
    She is the granddaughter of the late Lanny Goins and of Susan Goins of Frankfort, and the late Donald Orfield and of Betty Orfield of Georgetown, Ky. The bride is a 2002 graduate of Western Hills High School and is a veteran of United States Army National Guard.
    Casey is the son of Valorie Casey and Earl Casey of Lawrenceburg and the grandson of Harold and Jean Casey of Lawrenceburg.

  • Engagement: Barrick-Puckett

    Mr. and Mrs. Paul Barrick, Jr., announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Dawn Barrick to Joseph Bronson Puckett, son of Barbara Puckett and the late Sidney Bronson Puckett.
    The bride is a 1996 Anderson County High School graduate and attended Eastern Kentucky University. She graduated from business college with a degree in office administration.

  • Wedding: Hammond-Bedford

    Caitlin Ruby Hammond and William James Bedford, both of Lawrenceburg, were married Sept. 29, 2012, at the home of the groom’s grandmother, Mattie Bedford of Lawrenceburg.
    Parent of the bride is Annette Hammond of Lawrenceburg.
    Parents of the groom are Terry and Pam Bedford of Lawrenceburg.
    Grandparents of the bride are Carole Keene of Lawrenceburg and Bill Hammond of Howell, Mich. Grandparents of the groom are Mattie Bedford of Lawrenceburg and Kenneth and Linda Dobrick of Louisville.

  • Wedding: Young-Goin

    Cecil “Tad” and Donna Lynn Young are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Cecilya Lynn Young to Bobby Jack Goin, all of Lawrenceburg.
    The groom is the son of Sarah and John Garvison of Denton, Texas.
    The wedding took place June 3, 2012, at the home of the bride and groom.
    They had an outdoor ceremony in front of the pond.
    Decorations were a large white arch and lots of pink and red roses.
    Latifa Meenes performed the double ring ceremony.

  • Wedding: Phillips-Williams

    Karla Elaine Phillips of Lexington and Bradley Scott Williams of Lexington were married June 2, 2012, at Chrisman Mill Vineyards.
    Pastor Joshua Cummins officiated the wedding.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Woodrow Phillips II of Lawrenceburg. The bride’s grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Cook, Jr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Phillips.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams of Versailles. The groom’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Reynolds and  Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Williams.

  • Engagement-Tracy and Hartley

    Phil and Marla Tracy announce the engagement of their daughter, Shelby Tracy of Lawrenceburg, to Austin Hartley of Lawrenceburg, son of Miles and Stacey Hartley.
    The bride is a 2012 Anderson County High School graduate and is attending Bluegrass Community and Technical College for cosmetology. She is currently employed at Kroger in Lawrenceburg.
    The groom is a 2010 Anderson County High School graduate and is attending Bluegrass Community and Technical College to become a diesel mechanic. He is currently employed by DC Truck and Equipment Repair.

  • Birth-Robinson

    Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Wayne Robinson of Fargo, N.D., announce the birth of their first child and daughter, Hannah Rebecca Robinson, born July 6, 2012.
    She weighed 9 pounds and 10 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.
    Paternal grandparents are Jackie and Gerald Robinson, and paternal great-grandparents are William and Rayma Carter and Minnie Robinson and the late James Marion Robinson, all of Lawrenceburg.
    Maternal grandparents are Becky and Carldon Lahey of Jacksonville, Fla.
     

  • Anniversary: Lacefield

    Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lacefield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 6.
    The couple was married Oct. 6, 1962 in Salvisa.
    They have a son, Jeffrey, who resides in Harrodsburg. They also have a daughter, Melissa (Tony) Revel, and a grandson, Caleb, all of Harrodsburg.
    The Lacefields will celebrate their anniversary with family.  

     

  • Friends of the Library to meet

    The Friends of the Anderson Public Library will meet on Oct. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Anderson Public Library. If there is no school, there will be no meeting.
    The Friends of the Anderson Public Library meets the second Wednesday of every month.
     

  • Senior Crime College program to be held at public library

    Anderson Public Library and the Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway’s office will be hosting the Program Senior Crime College on Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Anderson Public Library.
    According to a press release from the library, the program will teach senior citizens how to avoid becoming victims of scams and who to alert if they feel they are being targeted.
    Lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 30 patrons. Registration is required. Sign up by calling the library at (502) 839-6420 or speaking with someone at the circulation desk.
