  • Family reunion held at county park Sept. 1

    Carolyn and Richard Steilberg, Cynthia and Adam, Talitha and Reed and Erich Steilberg, as well as the families of the late Brunelle Flynn Casey and the late Marcella Lampton Steilberg Parnell, hosted a family reunion Sept. 1 in the county park.

    Dude and Donna Caldwell of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandi Lynn Caldwell, to Billy Joe Cook, Jr., son of Billy Cook, Sr., and Regina Cook of Frankfort.
    The bride is a 2001 graduate of Anderson County High School. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Western Hills High School.
    The wedding will take place on Oct. 13, 2012.

    Ashlee and Loren Wells of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Palmer Catherine Wells, born June 21, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
    She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Becky Lane of Lawrenceburg and David Lane of Versailles. Maternal great-grandparents are Alvie and Imogene Antrobus of Versailles and Dana and the late Wayne Lane of Versailles.

    Chris and Heather Groothedde of Moore, S.C., announce the birth of their daughter, Ryleigh Faith Groothedde, on July 24, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, S.C.
    She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Billy and Amy Fint of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are Gordon and Pinkie Clark and Bill and Bessie Fint, all of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-great grandparent is Mary Fint of Lawrenceburg.

    Jonathan and Erin Young of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Peyton Michael Young, born on July 25, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
    She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Nicholas and Robin Moore of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are John and Sandy Carter.
    Paternal grandparents are the Rev. Darrell and Shad Young of Murray. Ky. Paternal great-grandparents are James and Ann Young.
     

  • Engagement: Jamison-Cook

    Rusty and Rita Cummins of Lawrenceburg would like to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Katherine Marie Jamison to Jonathan Levi Cook, son of Elaine Cook and the late Stanley Cook of Hamilton, Ala.
    The bride is a 2006 Anderson County High School graduate and a 2010 graduate of Georgetown College. She is currently employed at Kentucky Farm Bureau.
    The groom is a 2003 Henderson County High School graduate and a 2007 graduate of the University of Cumberlands. He is currently employed at Radio Shack.

    Kelli and Tyler Buckley of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their son, Lucas Scott Buckley, born Aug. 4, 2012 at Central Baptist hospital in Lexington.
    He weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.
    Big brother Colt, 2, welcomed Lucas home.
    Maternal grandparents are Vaughn and Sharon Quisenberry of Lawrenceburg. Maternal great-grandparents are Pete and Patsy Richardson of Versailles.

  • Wedding: Gignac-Stratton

    Aaren Gignac and Jed Stratton were married May 20, 2012 at Lantana Resort and Marina in Pilot Point, Texas, and were officiated by the bride’s brother William Gignac.
    The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Lauren Gignac of San Antonio, and Dawna and John Nowlin of Elmendorf, Texas. The groom is the son of Troy and Millie Stratton, Bullard, Texas and formerly of Lawrenceburg. Grandparents of the groom are Faye Stratton and the late Sam Stratton Jr. of Harrodsburg.

  • Anniversary: Evans

    Ken and Ann Evans of Lawrenceburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 16.
    The couple was married on Sept. 16, 1962, at First Christian Church in Danville.
    Ken is retired from the Kentucky Utilities Company, is a member of the Lawrenceburg city council and is a nursing home ombudsman.
    Ann has been a nursing home ombudsman for 25 years.
    The couple has two children, daughter Julia Ann Brothers of Lawrenceburg, and son Kenny Irvin Evans of Frankfort.

    Jimmy and Ginger Hardin of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Westley-Ann Hardin to Micah Jeremy Mason, son of Micah Brian Mason and Tracy Ragle of London.
    The bride is a graduate of Anderson County High School and is currently employed with the University of Kentucky hospital and attending BCTCS for radiology technician.
    The groom is a graduate of North Laurel High School and is employed with the Kentucky National Guard.
    The wedding will take place Sept. 8, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. at the Thoroughbred Center in Lexington.
