    The groom-to-be is the son of the late Jeff and Charlotte Settles of Mackville.

    He is the grandson of Everett Lee and Anna Florence Russell and the late Harry, “H”, and Norma Settles both of Mackville.

    The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of Anderson County High School.

    She is employed in childcare.

    The groom-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Anderson County High School and is employed by Rock Ridge Farms of Lawrenceburg.

  • Birth: Presley Rose Brimm

    Angel and Norman Brimm of Shelbyville announce the birth of their daughter, Presley Rose Brimm, at 8:07 a.m. on July 8, 2014 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

    She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    She was welcomed home by siblings Payton, 10, and Ella, 7.

    Her maternal grandparents are Delphia and Dan Thomas.

    Her paternal grandparent is Carolyn V. Brimm.

  • Birth: Carter Allen Gaines

    Tina and Chris Gaines announce the birth of their son, Carter Allen Gaines, on June 7, at 2:28 p.m. at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

    He weighed 4 pounds, 13 ounces and was 17 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Carolyn and Bruce Cole of Lawrenceburg.

    His maternal great-grandparents Minda and Jimmy Shelton and Jeanette and Rollin Cole, all of Lawrenceburg.

    His paternal grandparents are Phyllis and Greg Gaines of Lawrenceburg.

    Glen and Jennifer Drury of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Erin Drury of Pikeville to Johnny Meade III, son of Johnny Meade Jr. and Detrice Meade of Pikeville.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in child and family sciences.

    She is employed by the Pikeville Medical Center.

    She is a granddaughter of Josephine Sea.

    The groom-to-be is employed as a dispatcher for the Kentucky State Police.

    Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Robinson of Fargo, N.D. announce the birth of their daughter, Olivia Mae Robinson, on June 5, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at Essentia Medical Hospital in N.D.

    She weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    She is welcomed home by her sister Hannah, who is 23 months old.

    Her maternal grandparents are Pam and Carldon Lahay of Jacksonville, Fla.

    Her paternal grandparents are Jackie and Gerald Robinson of Lawrenceburg.

    Together with their children Rhonda Borders Phillips, formerly of Washington County and now of Lawrenceburg, and Chris Whitaker of Lawrenceburg would like to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late James Charles (J.C.) and Louise Beavers Borders Chesser and Leo Chesser.

    She is employed by the Sansbury Care Center as a food and nutrition service manager.

    The groom-to-be is the son of the late Paul and Reva Phillips Whitaker. He is employed by Legacy Carting.
