John and Ada Bailey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children and grandchildren on April 22 from 2-4 p.m. at Sand Spring Baptist Church, 1616 Harrodsburg Road.
They were married on April 23, 1962, at Epworth Methodist Church in Lexington.
John was employed with IBM/LexMark International in 1967 and retired in 1999.
Their children are John (Debbie) Bailey, Jr., of Lexington; Rebecca (Chuck) Osbourn of Versailles; and Julia (Aaron) Hornsby of Taylorsville.
The couple resides in Stringtown, Lawrenceburg.

Freshman Allie White and Senior Megan Webb, both from Lawrenceburg, will compete as one of 15 contestants in the Belle of the Blue Scholarship Pageant, an annual Georgetown College tradition since 1950, held March 31.
White is an Elementary Education major with a minor in social sciences, and is involved in Sigma Kappa, campus ministries, Maskrafters and choir.
As a graduate of Anderson County High School in 2011, White was involved in Spanish Honor Society and theater.
She was also the Lawrenceburg Fair-Miss Teen.
