A dedication and blessing of a marker for Joseph Edmondson at Old Liberty cemetery, located outside of Bradfordsville in Marion County on Highway 49, will be Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Will Pierce officiating, and third generation great-grandchildren of Joseph Edmondson are encouraged to attend.
Joseph married Elizabeth Vaughan on Dec. 15, 1839. He died May 20, 1865.
They had six children: Isabelle Hoover of Danville, Fetna A. (Hoover) Chase of Indiana and Minnesota; Ella Langford, Nathan and James Edmondson, all of Anderson County; and John of Indiana.
Brandi Abell Newton and Travis Newton of Shelbyville announce the birth of their son Eli Cole Newton, born Aug. 20, 2011, at Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 22 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Jean and Rick Abell of Lawrenceburg.
Paternal grandparents are Alan and Melinda Newton of Bardstown and Cynthia Fowler of Bardstown.
Shanna Leigh Devers and Jacob Ray Turner of Lawrenceburg were married Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. at Ninevah Christian Church.

The bride is a daughter of Jeff and Donna Devers of Lawrenceburg. Her grandparents are Lowell and Wilma Devers of Midway and Marlene Nakagawa of Williamson, W.Va.
The groom’s parents are Don “Buddy” and Carla Turner of Lawrenceburg. His grandparents are Don and Thelma Turner of Harrodsburg, and Louise Hood of Chaplin.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jeff Devers.

Clifton and Ruby K. Camic of the Avenstoke community in Anderson County celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Aug. 1.
They were married Aug. 1, 1946, at Waddy Baptist Church in Waddy by Brother Wooley.
Their two children are Larry D. Camic of Anderson County and Terry W. (Marilyn) Camic of Winchester. The couple’s three grandchildren are Ashley M. (John) Jones of Lexington, Dr. Clayton L. Camic of Plattesville, Wis., and D. Shane (Jessica) Camic of Lawrenceburg.
Bessie Cook will celebrate her 90th birthday with a birthday celebration hosted by her family on Oct. 2 from 2-4 p.m. at Sand Spring Baptist church in Lawrenceburg.
The reception will take place in the new fellowship hall on the second floor of the building.

The bride and groom spent their honeymoon in Naples, Fla. The couple will reside in Lexington.
