  • Kate Savannah Sims birth

    Kate Savannah Sims was born April 28, 2016, at 3:57 a.m. at St. Joseph East.

    She weighed 7 1/2 pounds and measured 20 inches long at birth.

    Kate is the daughter of Spencer and Jenna Sims of Lawrenceburg. She has an older sister, Emily Grace, 17 months.

    She is the granddaughter of Brad and Susan Smith of Lawrenceburg, and Doug and Sherry Sims of Willisburg.

  • Houtz-Harmon engagement

    Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Houtz of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Marie Houtz to Anthony Lynn Harmon, son of Glenn Harmon of Springfield and Rebecca Harmon of Apex, North Carolina.

    Hautz is a 2001 graduate of Anderson County High School. She graduated from Nash Academy of Lexington in 2012, where she studied animal arts. She is employed at America’s Uptown Hounds Luxury Resorts.

    She is the granddaughter of Charles and the late Doris West of Nicholasville, and Allene and the late LaVern Houtz of Winchester.

    She weighed 7 pounds and measured 19.5 inches in length at birth.
    Sophya is the daughter of Morgan and Russ Drury of Lawrenceburg.
    She has an older sister, Izzabella, 3.
    She is the granddaughter of Tammi and David Jenkins, of Lawrenceburg; Robert and Tracey Bonzo, of Bardstown; Lynn and Joe Perkins, and Larry and Billie Drury, all of Lawrenceburg.

    Marty and Fran Pinkston, of Frankfort, announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Pinkston, of Frankfort, to Joshua Doolin, of Lawrenceburg. Doolin is the son of Carl and Tammy Doolin, of Lawrenceburg.
    Pinkston is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Doolin will graduate from Campbellsville University in May.
    A closed wedding is planned for 2:30 p.m. June 11, 2016, at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort.

Crum is a son of Rosalee Click and the late Scottie Crum, of Martin. Lipp is currently a business office administrator, and Crum is a freight driver. The wedding is planned for April 2, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery.

    The bride is a graduate of Western Hills High School in Frankfort. The groom is an Anderson County High School graduate and is currently employed as a stocker at Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
