  • Birth: Ace Kristopher Beasley

    Jonathan and Tina Beasley of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their son, Ace Kristopher Beasley, born Sept. 3, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
    He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 1/2 inches long.
    Big brother Jameson, 9, welcomed Ace home.
    Maternal grandparent is Brenda Blanton of Berea.
    Paternal grandparents are Junior and Donna Beasley of Lawrenceburg.

     

  • Birthday: Hutton

    Mary Hutton will celebrate her 90th birthday with a birthday celebration hosted by her family on Oct. 23 from 2-4 p.m. at Sand Spring Baptist church in Lawrenceburg.
    The reception will take place in the new fellowship hall on the second floor of the building.
    The family requests no gifts.
     

  • Engagement: Sea-Christopher

    Kenny and Billie Jo Sea of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassie Jo Sea to Cody Ryan Christopher, son of Richard and Sherri Christopher of Winchester.
    The bride’s grandparents are Claibourne and Elizabeth Sea and William and Barbara Hatchell. The groom’s grandparents are Maudie Christopher and the late Edward Christopher and  Lavonne Borders and the late Jerry Borders.

  • Birth: Emma McKay Fosson

    Beth and Matt Fosson of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Emma McKay Fosson, born July 14, 2011, at Central Baptist Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 19 ¼ inches long.
    She was welcomed home by big brother Jimmy Thomas.
    Her maternal grandparents are Dr. Sandy and Jamie Goodlett of Lawrenceburg. Her paternal grandparents are John and Cris Fosson of Chillicothe, Ohio.

  • Engagement: Hood-Hyatt

    Chris and Donna Short of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Hood, to Gerry Hyatt, son of Billy and Carolyn Hyatt of Lawrenceburg.
    Grandparents of the bride are Gerald and Opal Hood of Chaplin and Peggy C. Hood of Springfield.
    Grandparents of the groom are June Hyatt and Kathleen Carlton of Lawrenceburg.
    The bride is a 2004 Anderson County High School graduate and graduated with an associate’s degree in 2007 from KCTCS in Danville. She is currently employed at Lexington Clinic as a medical coder.

  • Marker to be dedicated for Edmondson

    A dedication and blessing of a marker for Joseph Edmondson at Old Liberty cemetery, located outside of Bradfordsville in Marion County on Highway 49, will be Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Will Pierce officiating, and third generation great-grandchildren of Joseph Edmondson are encouraged to attend.
    Joseph married Elizabeth Vaughan on Dec. 15, 1839. He died May 20, 1865.
    They had six children: Isabelle Hoover of Danville, Fetna A. (Hoover) Chase of Indiana and Minnesota; Ella Langford, Nathan and James Edmondson, all of Anderson County; and John of Indiana.

  • Birth: Eli Cole Newton

    Brandi Abell Newton and Travis Newton of Shelbyville announce the birth of their son Eli Cole Newton, born Aug. 20, 2011, at Suburban Hospital in Louisville.
    He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 22 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Jean and Rick Abell of Lawrenceburg.
    Paternal grandparents are Alan and Melinda Newton of Bardstown and Cynthia Fowler of Bardstown.

     

  • Wedding: Devers-Turner

    Shanna Leigh Devers and Jacob Ray Turner of Lawrenceburg were married Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. at Ninevah Christian Church.
    The Rev. Mark Studler officiated.
    The bride is a daughter of Jeff and Donna Devers of Lawrenceburg. Her grandparents are Lowell and Wilma Devers of Midway and Marlene Nakagawa of Williamson, W.Va.
    The groom’s parents are Don “Buddy” and Carla Turner of Lawrenceburg. His grandparents are Don and Thelma Turner of Harrodsburg, and Louise Hood of Chaplin.
    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jeff Devers.

  • Engagement: Costiloe-Toll

    Joseph K. Costiloe and Elizabeth A. King announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacquelyn Elise Costiloe to Charles Wallace Toll, son of Charles and Cindy Toll.
    The wedding will be held at Alton Baptist Church on Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
    The reception will be at the Lawrenceburg American Legion to follow.
