    Sandy and Garry Gaines and the late Steve Branton of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Beth Branton of Lawrenceburg, to Matthew Robert Brogan of Lawrenceburg, son of Mark Brogan and Wendy Brogan of New Richmond, Ohio.
    The bride-to-be’s grandparents are William Rucker and the late Lucille Rucker, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Roberts and the late Finley Branton.
    The groom’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brogan, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ireton and the late Bud and Christine Mineer.

    Brylee Ann Thacker
    Kyle and Emily Thacker of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their daughter, Brylee Ann Thacker, on June 3, 2011 at Central Baptist Hospital.
    She weighed 7 pounds, and was 21 1/2 inches long.
    Her maternal grandparents are Larry and Barbara Basham, Nancy Peach and Jason Hudnall. Her paternal grandparents are Billy and Joanie Thacker.

    Tammy O’ Neal and David Kinnerson of Lawrenceburg, and Patrick and Laura McDonald of Frankfort proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Layne McDonald of Lawrenceburg to Jarrod Hunter Carey of Lawrenceburg, son of Eddie and Angie Carey of Lawrenceburg and Tracy and Frank Sanders of Versailles.
    The bride-to-be’s maternal grandparents are Linda Sandford and Bryl Manley of Franklin County. The bride-to-be’s paternal grandparents are Gary and Sandra McDonald of Anderson County.

  • Anniversary: Pulliam

    Doug and Lois Pulliam of Anderson County recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner party at the Ninevah Christian Church in Lawrenceburg.
    They were married July 14, 1961 in Franklin County by the Rev. Earl Billiter.
    They have two daughters, Mary Lesley Potter (Steve) of Middletown and Becky Wilson (Greg) of Versailles and four grandchildren.

    Crystal Hupp and Adam Johnson of Lexington were married June 18, 2011 at First Christian Church. The Rev. Ernie Perry officiated.
    Parents of the couple are Ronnie and Janet Hupp of Lexington and Robert Johnson and Belinda Chandler.
    The bride’s grandparents are Jean Drury and Irene Hupp.
    Bridesmaids were Shelby Allen of Louisville, cousin of the bride; Rebecca Hertog of Lexington, friend of the bride; and Jennifer Clifford of Lexington, friend of the bride.

    The bride’s grandparents are Eunice Searcy and the late Thomas Searcy of Lawrenceburg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Fister of Lexington.
    The groom’s grandparents are Evelyn Goodlett and the late Silbert Goodlett of Lawrenceburg, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Darnell of Lawrenceburg.

  • Birth: Benjamin Liam Hahnes

    Brad and Laura Hahnes of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their son, Benjamin Liam Hahnes, on June 28, 2011 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
    He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.
    Big brothers Matthew, 15, and Samuel, 10, welcomed Benjamin home.
    His maternal grandparents are Marie Kennedy and W. Valen McDaniel of Bradenton, Fla.
    His paternal grandparents are the late Wendy Lewis and Donald Hahnes of Hackettstown, N.J. His maternal great-grandparent is Irene Colonna of Clifton, N.J.
     

  • Wedding: Harcourt-Watts

    Sarah Harcourt Watts and Luke Ensign Watts of Nashville, Tenn., were united in marriage on July 17, 2010 at Beargrass Christian Church in Louisville.
    Dr. John Hull officiated.
    Parents of the couple are John and Diane Harcourt of La Grange, and Michael and Darlys Watts of Lawrenceburg.
    The bride is a 2004 South Oldham High School graduate, a 2008 Transylvania University graduate, and a 2010 graduate of Harvard Divinity School with a master’s of theological studies. She currently works as a lower school teacher at Sumner Academy in Gallatin, Tenn.
