  • Corley anniversary

    Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Corley were surprised with a 60th wedding anniversary party on Oct. 22 at the Anderson County Community Park.

    Dinner was served, and The Buckskins Band provided music.
    The couple was married Nov. 6, 1950 in Jeffersonville, Ind. They celebrated their anniversary in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
    They have two children, Karen Smith and Mike Corley and his wife, Kay.
    The have four grandchildren, Jeremy Smith and his wife, Robin; Bruce Carrier and his wife, Kara; Michael Corley and his wife, Keturah; and Stephen Hawkins.

    Art and Michele Nearhoof of Lawrenceburg announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tracy Lynn Nearhoof, to T.J. Taylor, son of Tim and Libby Taylor of Lawrenceburg.

    The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Anderson County High School and a 2007 graduate of Murray State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs.

    She is employed as a Books as Bridges coordinator by the International Book Project in Lexington.

    Natalie Jane Morgan and William Jay Anderson were married July 17 at The Carpenter’s Christian Church in Harrodsburg.

    The bride is a daughter of Cathy Morgan of Lawrenceburg and the late Bruce Morgan.

    She is a granddaughter of Earl McGaughey of Lawrenceburg, the late Jane McGaughey, and Henry and Joan Morgan of Utica.

    She is a 2003 graduate of Anderson County High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology.
