  • Pierian Women's Club art show Saturday

    The fifth annual Pierian Women’s Art Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the lobby of the ACHS auditorium.

    The public is invited to attend.

    The show will be judged and prizes will be awarded to the students.

  • Cunningham anniversary

    Donna and Terry Cunningham of Lawrenceburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 15.
    Donna Thurman, daughter of Lee and Maxine Hawkins and the late Gilbert Thurman, married Terry Cunningham, son of Clarence and Dorothy Cunningham, at Antioch Christian Church on April 15, 1966. Brother Maynard officiated.
    The couple has three children; Teri Jean and Doug Stockton; Jill and Mike Goodlett; and Davy and Amy Cunningham, all of Lawrenceburg.

  • White anniversary

    All friends and family are invited to the 65th wedding anniversary of William and Lucille White.
    A reception will be given in their honor by their three children and their families on April 3, 2016, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the New Fellowship Hall at Sand Spring Baptist Church.

    Sophya Marie Drury was born Jan. 13, 2016, at 9:01 a.m. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
    She weighed 7 pounds and measured 19.5 inches in length at birth.
    Sophya is the daughter of Morgan and Russ Drury of Lawrenceburg.
    She has an older sister, Izzabella, 3.
    She is the granddaughter of Tammi and David Jenkins, of Lawrenceburg; Robert and Tracey Bonzo, of Bardstown; Lynn and Joe Perkins, and Larry and Billie Drury, all of Lawrenceburg.

    Marty and Fran Pinkston, of Frankfort, announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Pinkston, of Frankfort, to Joshua Doolin, of Lawrenceburg. Doolin is the son of Carl and Tammy Doolin, of Lawrenceburg.
    Pinkston is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Doolin will graduate from Campbellsville University in May.
    A closed wedding is planned for 2:30 p.m. June 11, 2016, at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort.

    Doug Thompson and the late Pat Thompson, of Lawrenceburg, announce the engagement of their daughter Stephanie Lipp to Michael Crum, both of Lawrenceburg. Crum is a son of Rosalee Click and the late Scottie Crum, of Martin. Lipp is currently a business office administrator, and Crum is a freight driver. The wedding is planned for April 2, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Lovers Leap Vineyards and Winery.

    Sandy and Billie Gene Woodson of Frankfort, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tasha Lynn Woodson to John Christopher Edelen, son of Jeff and Tanna Edelen, all of Lawrenceburg.
    The bride is a graduate of Western Hills High School in Frankfort. The groom is an Anderson County High School graduate and is currently employed as a stocker at Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
    The wedding is planned for 2 p.m. on April 16, 2016, at Anderson Christian Church.

    Hayes Arthur Cooper was born Dec. 31, 2015 at 11:08 a.m. at Baptist Health Louisville, his family announced.
    He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 19 inches at birth.
    He is a son of Josh and Nicole Cooper of Mount Washington, and joins brothers Hudson, 5, and Bennett, 2.
    His grandparents are Perry and Teresa White of Mackville, and Larry and Shirley Cooper of Lawrenceburg.
    His great-grandparents are Dorothy Carey and Don and Kathleen Cooper.
