  • WEDDING: Barch-Scott

    Allison Barch and Michael Scott were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Huber’s Orchard in Borden, Ind.

    Rev. Patrick Mangan officiated.

    A reception followed the ceremony.

    The bride is the daughter o Mike and Vicky Barch of Lawrenceburg, and the granddaughter of the late Glen and Frances Mumert, and Joe and Peggy Barch.

    The groom is the son of All and Rosanne Scott of Niles, Mich. He is the grandson of the late Anthony and Delores Sergio, and Sandra and the late Clyde Scott.

    Quick after-school treats can be nutritious, too

    When I pick my kids up from school, I am always eager to hear about their day. I want to know if they did anything new and exciting, how they did on their tests, and most importantly, were they kind and helpful.

    After they hurry me through my questions, they have one and only one question for me, “what is for snack? “ I’m sure if you have little ones, that is their first question, too.

    Adam Christopher Duvall was born June 12, 2015 at 12:38 p.m. at Baptist Hospital in Lexington, his family announced.

    He weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20 inches at birth.

    He is a son of Todd and Cristi Duval of Lawrenceburg, and joins a 3-year-old brother, Ryan.

    His grandparents are Jimmie Lee Hawkins and Glenda Luckett of Lawrenceburg, and Danny and Fay Duvall of Owenton.

    His great-grandparents are Carolyn Luckett and Betty Grubbs.

    Hudson Gregory Alexander was born July 16 at St. Joseph East Hospital.

    He is a son of Jason and Jamie Alexander of Lawrenceburg, and joins a brother, Wyatt Alexander, 2.

    His grandparents are Greg and Denise Cinnamon of Lawrenceburg, and Bob and Cammie Alexander of Lawrenceburg.

    His great-grandparents are Gene and Mary Ruth Cinnamon; Wilma and the late Dale Flygstad; Hazel Smith, the late Robert Smith, and the late John and Milda.

    The Bailey family will hold a reunion Oct. 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Activity Center, 202 Medical Heights Drive, Frankfort.

    A potluck meal will be shared at 1 p.m., with drinks and paper products provided.

    Yoga for the Back

    When: 8:30 a.m. Mondays from Sept. 21 to Dec. 7

    Admission: free

    Where: Anderson Senior Center, 160 Township Square

    Description: This one hour yoga class will offer participants a weekly practice of stretching, strengthening and relaxing with a focus on reducing back pain and the risk of that pain becoming chronic.

    Instructor is Jenny Howard Owen, a certified and registered yoga teacher.

    All adults are welcome.

    Participants should bring a yoga mat and water bottle.

  • Anderson County High School class of 1995 to hold reunion

    The Anderson County High School class of 1995 will hold its 20-year reunion Sept. 26 at Eagle Lake Convention Center.

    The reunion is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., according to a news release.

    She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and is employed as a cost accountant by Berry Plastics in Franklin.

    The groom-to-be is a grandson of Mary Lee Coulter. He is a four-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a student at Western Kentucky University.
