Chris Eva Sea Stratton called about the Lawrenceburg Beta Club photo that appeared in the Jan. 23 edition. She was the first student on the first row after teacher Stites Milton. For the past five years, she has lived in Florence with her daughter.
She grew up in Lawrenceburg and she and her husband, Harry Stratton, lived in Lawrenceburg many years after school. He worked with Kraft Foods and transferred to Carrollton as plant manager. They lived in Carrollton about 30 years.

New Hope Baptist announces events
New Hope Baptist offers Zumba exercise classes are every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. Wear comfortable shoes.
Registration is not required.
The Bible study “Lord I Need Grace to Make it Today” by Kay Arthur has begun on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. It is not too late to join, organizers said.
The church’s annual Valentine Banquet is Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. Sign up is in the welcome center.

Compassionate Friends announce upcoming meetings
The Compassionate Friends will host meetings for bereavement parents who have lost children of any age.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and the third Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the hospice building, 643 Teton Trail in Frankfort.

Anderson Public Library offers computer, yoga classes

When my youngest daughter first moved away from home and I realized I could not control her every action (not that I ever could, but I deluded myself into thinking I could when she lived with me), I had a brilliant idea.
She was home for a visit and when I brought her to the airport I said, “Let me give you a list of everything I think you should and shouldn’t do and then you can just do everything on the list and we’ll both live happily ever after, especially me.”
