  • Brandon and Crystal Robinson McGrew of Louisville announce the birth of their daughter, Eden Brooke McGrew, on May 28, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Ind.

    She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 23 inches long.

    She was welcomed home by a brother, Sawyer James McGrew, 1.

    Her maternal grandparents are Gerald and Jackie Robinson of Lawrenceburg. Her maternal great-grandparents are William and Rayma Carter and Minnie Robinson, all of Lawrenceburg.

  • Kelli and Tyler Buckley of Lawrenceburg announce the birth of their son, Colton Lane Buckley, on May 3, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Vaughn and Sharon Quisenberry of Lawrenceburg. His maternal great-grandparents are Pete and Patsy Richardson of Versailles and Wayne and Gail Quisenberry of Versailles.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Thomas D. Edgett of Lawrenceburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration mass at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

    The couple was married July 9, 1960 by the Rev. T.R. Koziol at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in St. Paul, Minn. As a family tradition, the couple was married in the same church as Mr. Edgett’s parents and maternal grandparents.

    Mrs. Edgett, the former Fern Sommers, is a daughter of Stanley Sommers and the late Gladys Sommers.

    She is retired.

    The bride-to-be is a granddaughter of Patricia and the late Roy Phillips and the late Edward and Eloise Sweasy, all of Lawrenceburg.

    She is a 1992 graduate of Anderson County High School, and a 1996 graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned a degree as a registered nurse.

  • Bobby and Charlotte Robinson of Glensboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28.

    The couple was married June 28, 1960 by Bro. Robert Brown at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Anderson County.

    Mr. Robinson is retired from IBM in Lexington.

    Mrs. Robinson, the former Charlotte Thompson, is retired from Boulevard Distillery in Lawrenceburg.

    The Robinsons have three children, Jennifer Nethery and her husband, Brad, of Mt. Eden; Amy Cottrell and her husband, Bob, of Mt. Eden; and the late Jeff Robinson.

  • Bruce and Tyna Wells will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 24.

    The couple was married June 24, 1950 at the Central Baptist Church in Paris by the Rev. J. Bill Jones.

    Mr. Wells is a retired building contractor in Shelby and surrounding counties.

    Mrs. Wells is the former Tyna Hedges.

    The Wells live in Clay Village and attend the Clay Village Baptist Church.

    They have two children, Donna Wells Moor of Morehead and Bruce Davis Wells of Longwood, Fla.

  • Louise J. and David E. Drury will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 27 with a reception in the new fellowship hall at Sand Spring Baptist Church from 2 to 4 p.m.

    The Drurys were married July 3, 1950 in Jeffersonville, Ind.

    Mrs. Drury, the former Louise Jamerson, is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Jamerson.

    She is retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation.

    Mr. Drury is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Haskell Drury.

    He is retired from the A&P Tea Company.
