    Fell at home

    Mrs. Marion Peak fell at her home on Woodford Street Wednesday of last week and sustained pulled ligaments in her back and a severe sprain.

    Severely burned

    Robbie Lynn Stratton, 17 month-old-son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Stratton of Bonds Mill, received a severe burn of the lower lip when he bit into an electric wire.

  • Hudson Gregory Alexander was born July 16 at St. Joseph East Hospital.

    He is a son of Jason and Jamie Alexander of Lawrenceburg, and joins a brother, Wyatt Alexander, 2.

  • Bailey family plans reunion

    The Bailey family will hold a reunion Oct. 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Activity Center, 202 Medical Heights Drive, Frankfort.

  • Revival at First Baptist

    First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg will hold revival services Sept. 27-30, the church announced.

    John Franklin, a nationally known speaker in the area of prayer and spiritually healing, will speak.

    “His passion is to provide conferencing and resources to arouse God’s people to seek him for personal and national revival,” according to a news release from the church.

    Growing up in a large family, things could be a bit unpredictable at times.

    There were a few things that were inevitable, there was sure to be a squabble between one of us seven sisters and brothers from time to time. We would all be at church every Sunday morning without fail, and momma would always have her famous roast, potatoes and carrots in the oven and ready for us to eat when we got home.

  • Yoga for the Back

    When: 8:30 a.m. Mondays from Sept. 21 to Dec. 7

    Admission: free

    Where: Anderson Senior Center, 160 Township Square

    Description: This one hour yoga class will offer participants a weekly practice of stretching, strengthening and relaxing with a focus on reducing back pain and the risk of that pain becoming chronic.

    Instructor is Jenny Howard Owen, a certified and registered yoga teacher.

    All adults are welcome.

    Participants should bring a yoga mat and water bottle.

  • The Anderson County High School class of 1995 will hold its 20-year reunion Sept. 26 at Eagle Lake Convention Center.

    The reunion is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., according to a news release.
