Steven and Dawn Royalty and Marla Corn Smith, all of Lawrenceburg, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Caitlyn Danielle Royalty and Robert Tyler Smith.

The bride-to-be is a granddaughter of Gene and Jean Morrell and Clifford and Bonnie Royalty, all of Lawrenceburg.

She is a 2008 graduate of Anderson County High School and is currently attending the University of Kentucky, where she is expected to graduate in 2012 with a degree in kinesiology and health promotion.

Community groups

Brandon and Crystal Robinson McGrew of Louisville announce the birth of their daughter, Eden Brooke McGrew, on May 28, 2010 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Ind.

She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 23 inches long.

She was welcomed home by a brother, Sawyer James McGrew, 1.

Her maternal grandparents are Gerald and Jackie Robinson of Lawrenceburg. Her maternal great-grandparents are William and Rayma Carter and Minnie Robinson, all of Lawrenceburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas D. Edgett of Lawrenceburg will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration mass at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

The couple was married July 9, 1960 by the Rev. T.R. Koziol at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in St. Paul, Minn. As a family tradition, the couple was married in the same church as Mr. Edgett’s parents and maternal grandparents.

Mrs. Edgett, the former Fern Sommers, is a daughter of Stanley Sommers and the late Gladys Sommers.

She is retired.
