Woman arrested for human trafficking

A woman was charged with human trafficking Saturday night for allegedly "coercing” children to peddle cookies and candy in Lawrenceburg and keeping almost all of the proceeds for herself.

Rhonda Bell, 32, of 4519 Cane Run Road, Louisville allegedly had nine male children between the ages of 9 and 16 selling “peppermint thin cookies” for her at the time of her arrest, according to a police report.

She entered a plea of not guilty on the Class B felony charge Monday morning in Anderson District Court and was ordered held on a $10,000 bond.
