Blaze forces evacuation at Breckenridge Estates

A dozen apartments were evacuated early this morning at Breckenridge Estates when a fire broke out in a third-floor apartment.

No one was injured, according to Lawrenceburg Fire Chief Bobby Hume, who said the fire appeared to start in a HVAC unit mounted to the side of the building.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, which quickly spread into the building’s attic and sent flames shooting through the roofline.
