Christian Academy wins state volleyball title

The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg volleyball team put its own name in the school record book Saturday.

Recording only a 7-16 record during the regular season and being forced to qualify for the Kentucky Christian School Athletic Association Class 3A tournament, the Lady Rams engineered a major surprise with a state championship.

The Lady Rams navigated the field to claim the state title Saturday at the Kentucky Basketball Academy in Lexington.

It is CAL’s first state volleyball title.
