  • Curtis Bullock, 89

    Curtis Bullock, 89, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.
     He was born to the late Curtis and Grace Campbell Bullock Sr.
    Bullock is survived by his wife of 19 years, Barbara Logsdon Bullock; a daughter, Carolyn Stivers; three stepdaughters, Lisa Creekmore, Sherri Walker and Kristi Bianchi.
    Funeral services were held Sept. 23 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.  Burial followed in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  
     

  • Harry N. Newton, 86

    Harry N. Newton, 86, Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Frankfort.
    He was born in Shelbyville to the late William and Gladys Fuller Newton. He was the widower of Gloria Wilson Newton, who died May 16, 2013. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Men’s Fellowship, and a trustee. He was retired from Anderson Tool and Die and was a 1945 graduate of Shelbyville High School.

  • J.R. Bradley, 83

    J.R. Bradley, 83, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.
    He was survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille Watts Bradley and a daughter, Debbie L. Bradley Weakly.
    Funeral services were held Sept. 23 at Shannon Funeral Home. Burial was at Grove Hill Cemetery.
     

  • Kip Stanley Linebarger, 70

    Kip Stanley Linebarger, 70, Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013.  
    He was born in Cassville, Mo., to the late Laverne and Neva Henbest Linebarger.
    He was a retired real estate broker for Freedom Mortgage Company in Colorado, attended First Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class, and was a founding member of the Nestor Haven Band in Colorado Springs, Colo.

  • Carroll Baxter Sanford, 84

    Carroll Baxter Sanford, 84, Harrodsburg, widower of Betty Lou Cinnamon, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.
    He was the son of the late Henry Taylor and Gertrude Baxter Sanford.   
    Carroll is survived by a daughter, Carla Beth McCallum and a son, Brad Carlton Sanford.
    Funeral services were held Sept. 17 at Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Burial followed in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

  • Jamie Faye Parrigan Neanover, 80

    Jamie Faye Parrigan Neanover, 80, died Sept. 14, 2013, at her home.  
    She was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary Wilder Parrigan.  
    She is survived by three children, Marrianna Woods, Margaret P. Edwards and Rick Neanover.  
    Cremation was chosen.  There will be no public services.
    Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg is in charge of arrangements.
     

  • William Chester ‘Bill’ Houchin, 86

    William Chester “Bill” Houchin, 86, of Simpsonville, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.  
    He was a native of Anderson County.  He was born on Sept. 29, 1926,, and was the son of Tida Dean Carter Houchin and Chester Authar Houchin.  

  • Santa Virginia Fernandez, 53

    Santa Virginia Fernandez, 53, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home.  
    She was the daughter of Virginia Mae Bowling and the late Manuel D. Fernandez.
    Including her mother, Santa is survived by two brothers, David M. Fernandez and James Anthony “Tony” Fernandez.
    Santa chose cremation. No public services will be held.  
    Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg is in charge of arrangements.

    Glen Russell “Russ” Cox, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at his home.  
    He was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Ohio County to the late Troy and Sybil Langford Cox.

  • Steven Edward Briscoe, 54

    Steven Edward Briscoe, 54, Lawrenceburg, died Sept. 14, 2013.
    Steven was the son of Ruth Mae Beasley Freda and stepson of Giovanni “John” Freda of Lexington and the late James Orville Briscoe.
    Steven will be forever remembered by his five children, Steven Briscoe (Christy) of Danville, Malissa Brooks (Travis) of Irvine, Racheil Conner (Eddie) of Richmond, Brody Briscoe of Lawrenceburg, and Tristen Whitlock of Lexington.  Steven leaves behind five grandchildren, Steven Briscoe, Zach Briscoe, Tori Brook, Hadley Conner and Brittany Gray.
