Support groups will be conducted for those who will be grieving the loss of a loved one this holiday season, Hospice of the Bluegrass announced.
The groups are open to any adult and will meet for five Thursdays, with the first session on Oct. 27.
The groups will be offered twice daily.
The day group will meet from 3-4:30 p.m. and the evening group will meet 6-7:30.
Participants should choose to attend either the afternoon or the evening group.

Ella Belle Overstreet Baxter isn’t hoarding the secret to her long life.
She said she faithfully does her devotions, every morning and evening, and thanks God for being able to live on her own, especially at 99 years old.
“I feel pretty good. I’m awful thankful to be at home, to stay at home,” Baxter, who will turn 100 this Halloween, said. “I’ve been in the nursing home four times, but it’s been for broken bones.”

Fish and Wildlife Officer David Goodlett was assigned earlier this year to Anderson County, according to a news release.
He completed the 18-week law enforcement basic training program with the Department of Criminal Justice Academy at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond and then completed the KDFWR Academy 10-week course.
He has completed the basic requirements of every Kentucky peace officer.

Roger and Lee Ann Despard of Cynthiana will perform magic tricks and illusions at the Grand Illusion Magic Show, held at the Anderson County Middle School gym at 7 p.m. and sponsored by the Lawrenceburg Lions Club.
With more than 30 years of experience, Roger Despard is the only 60-year-old magician in the United States still performing Harry Houdini’s classic death-defying Milk Can Escape, according to a press release.
Advance tickets are $7.50 and $10 at the door for adults, $7.50 for students.
