Residents of Heritage Hall took a fishing trip to Beaver Lake on Sept. 22, the agency reported in a news release.
Assisted by staff members, residents fished and cooked out.
“This year we decided to have a fishing tournament, and it was a huge success,” organizers said. “They had a great time.
One resident, Gilmond Curtsinger, said, “This is the best day of my life,” organizers said.

The ninth-annual David and Christopher Cole Truck Tug of War is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15 in the county park.
The tug will begin at 6 p.m.
The annual event raises funds for the Cole playground, located near the Extension office in the county park. The playground is dedicated to the memory of the Cole brothers, who died in a traffic accident.
The event will feature three sanctioned classes for two-wheel drives and four-wheel drives; three powderpuff classes; a street stock class; and a county-only class.
Concessions will be available.

A benefit concert and chili supper is planned for Saturday, Oct. 15 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church to support the family of the late Buster Tindall, organizers announced.
The supper is $5 and includes a bowl of chili, hot dog, drink and dessert.
Raffle tickets will be sold for chances to win various items.
Music will be provided by Behold the Stone and Defining Ezra.
The church is located at 1010 Powell Taylor Road.

The late A.C. Cunningham, 92, of Lawrenceburg was selected as a Senior Star by the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, it was announced.
Cunningham is to be honored at an Oct. 13 luncheon in Lexington.
His family has been invited to attend in his stead.
Cunningham was active in the Lawrenceburg community, delivering Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors for the Anderson Senior Center.
He planted and maintained a garden for the Adult Day Care Center.
