The Spencer County Fair will be held July 15 starting at 7 p.m. at the Spencer County Fairgrounds in Taylorsville.
Admission is $10, with children six and under free.
A horse pull and cornhole will be held July 15, with horse pull, antique tractor pull and more held July 16. No rides will be offered that weekend.

Anderson County High School Class of 2001 will host its 10th reunion July 30 at 7 p.m. at the Thoroughbred Center in Lexington.
Cost to attend is $30 per person. Dinner is included in the cost and a cash bar will be available. RSVP to Jennifer Hilterbran Jackson, 1209 Nevins Station Road, Lawrenceburg.
Out of town guests may contact the Ramada Inn at 2143 North Broadway in Lexington for accommodations.
Casual dress is encouraged.
The Thoroughbred Center is located at 3380 Paris Pike in Lexington.
 

The agency that helps guide children through the legal system got a significant monetary boost during the recent Lawrenceburg Fair and Horse Show.
Twenty people, including a number of county and city officials, volunteered to become prisoners during the fair and raise $250 each to make bail. Their efforts raised over $5,000 for CASA, according to organizer Ginny Smith.
“This was a tremendous fundraiser and I am thrilled that the citizens of Anderson County were so willing to support CASA,” Smith said.

Mount Eden residents came out in full force last Thursday night in an effort to keep their post office from closing later this year.
Hoping there is strength in numbers, about 200 residents filled the fellowship hall of Mount Moriah Baptist Church seeking answers from United States Postal Service representatives.
The postal representatives on hand said Thursday’s crowd was the largest they have seen from about 40 meetings this year.
