    The Anderson County Clerk’s office is in need of qualified voters to be trained as poll workers.

    Annual Chamber golf scramble is May 31

    The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble will take place at Wild Turkey Trace Golf Course May 31 starting with breakfast at 8 a.m.

    A brand new car, plus several other hole-in-one opportunities, at stake, this year.

  • 8th Annual Veterans Reunion is May 16-17

    The 8th Annual All Veterans Reunion is May 16-17 at the American Legion Post 34 located at 725 W. Broadway, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.

    The event is open to the public.

    Gates open at noon Friday. Friday activities include a candlelight service at 8:30 p.m.

    Saturday activities include an opening ceremony at 10 a.m.

  • ACHS FFA says 'Thank You'

    The Anderson County High School FFA wanted to thank Bob Allen of Frankfort for sponsoring them on the Hometown Scholarship selling Dodge Ram raffle tickets and for Edwardos and their patrons who came out on May 8 and May 29 for the 10 percent of proceeds and tips that went to FFA. The ACHS FFA would also like to thank Tractor Supply of Lawrenceburg and O'Reilly Auto Parts for supporting student and agriculture literacy.

     

  • American Legion, Auxiliary hold spring conference

    The American Legion and Auxiliary held their Spring Conference at Florence April 11-12. Eight junior and six senior members attended from Lawrenceburg.

    Each year, the Department of Kentucky Auxiliary president chooses a special fund-raiser project for Kentucky auxiliary members. This year, it’s the Wounded Warriors Transition Housing Program.

    Unit 34 donated $1,000 to the project plus a donation to the Children and Youth Program.
