 Attacking the opioid crisis through better state substance use disorder treatment and recovery program standards is at the core of a bill approved by a House committee, according to a news release.

 The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office received a clean state audit of its books for 2016-17, state Auditor Mike Harmon’s office announced last week.

Lile served for five years as an officer with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife before switching to LPD. Lile says he’s always been drawn to police work, and his tenure with Fish and Wildlife helped prepare him for this position. 

 Christmas trees can be repurposed in numerous ways once their tenure as a holiday prop expires.  In Kentucky, one option is a statewide fish reef restoration project, an effort embraced by a local team of junior conservationists.
