Children ages 5-12 are invited to a Christmas day camp Dec. 15 hosted by the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) club at Anderson County High School.
Students will be participating in making various crafts and food items and will be assisted by FCCLA members and the Family and Consumer Sciences teachers at the high school. Information is as follows:
The camp will be held in ACHS rooms 126 and 128 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with lunch served at 11:30 a.m.

Grandparents of Christian Academy fourth grader Phillip Maxfield arrived in style, via helicopter, for the Academy’s Grandparents celebration.
“When your grandson invites you to his Grandparents Day celebration at the Christian Academy, most folks just use the traditional method of arriving. They drive in, find a nice parking spot and walk on in,” Christian Academy Administrator Steve Carmichael said in an e-mail press release.
“Not fourth grader Phillip Maxfield’s grandparents.

Leigh Anne Florence, author of multiple children’s books and the newspaper serial “Unleashed,” visited with Robert B. Turner Elementary students on Nov. 16, bringing children’s book stars and dachshunds Woody and Chloe with her.
