Four high school students and seven middle school students from Anderson County were chosen as members of the 2012 all-district band.
All-district auditions were held Dec. 3 at Shelby East high school for the middle school students, and Nov. 17 for high school students in Henry County.
Students met last Friday to practice pieces of advanced music literature for their concert Jan. 7 at Martha Layne Collins High School.
About 1,500 people attended, Anderson County band director Patrick Brady said.
